Playing on a church organ had always been something of a barrier to Jasper. The instrument was so connected to it's use in a religious setting. This source of energy created a pre-conceived idea in him about these majestic instruments and their place within this energy. It was two years ago in Bonefro that his eyes were opened, and that he could find the proper point of view, that in fact should be applied to any instrument: an unconditioned and spontaneous approach. Church organs are unique instruments. They are alive; human music machines. The wind, the mechanisms, the sheer size of some of the pipes create an instrument that has so much personality, that holds so many possibilities to explore.
